Virgie Cook

On January 28th, 2009, Virgie Cook passed away peacefully in The Woodlands, Texas. She was born on Jan. 23rd 1918 to F. E. and Wilma Shook. She was married for over 50 years to James N. Cook who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was her son Larry and her brothers, Halbert, Floyd and Billy.

She is survived by her son John and his wife, Marchita, of The Woodlands, Texas, her brothers Aaron of Phoenix, Hollis of Albuquerque and Edward of San Antonio, and grandchildren Johnna Edone and her husband Ryan, Marc Cook, Jamie Cook and his wife Lisa, Kimberly Grassi and her husband Jerry, and John M. Cook.

She was also blessed with six great grandchildren, Gerard and Sophia Grassi, and Haley, Lauren, Brittany, and Madison Edone.

Funeral services will be Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Steed-Todd Funeral Home in Clovis, New Mexico. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her honor to The Montgomery County Animal Shelter www.fmctas.org.
