Billy Mote

Billy Ray Mote (also known as Repete) passed away pain free and ready for the eternal life on 10/16/2021- escorted by his son, Monty Mote through the pearl gates of Heaven to go meet Jesus and then visit with many family and friends that passed before him.
Bill was born 08/06/1938 in Clovis, NM to Paul & Edith Mote, the youngest of four siblings. Bill married Marie (Karr) Mote on December 25, 1963, just three months after they met- knowing she would be his long life love and partner. They brought into this world two wonderful children- Monty Bill and Edith Leanne. They were Bill’s pride and joy, and he taught them so much about life while growing up on the family farm. There were many kids that Bill helped raise on that farm, they would come to stay the summers with him and Marie and they never turned down the chance to teach and love on them. Bill was not only a husband, father and farmer, he also took on several 2nd jobs, as farming was not always profitable. Bill worked as a lineman in San Jon for the Stoners for many years- and could climb a pole in seconds. He also worked at his brother’s service station & parts store helping repair motors and fixing flat tires. (Normally this was just to hang out with his brothers who he loved dearly). Bill plowed for other various farmers and was called frequently to help fix machinery and break downs for his neighbors. Bill was no stranger to work, and knew how to build barns, weld, work fence & cows, and many many more things. Bill loved to hunt and fish, and had an incredible shot sometimes hitting a deer 300 yards away at a dead run- He was a hoot to be around always making people laugh by the things he said and did- He was one of a kind & will be severely missed.
Bill Mote is preceded in death by his parents, Paul & Edith Mote; his mother in law, Ora Lee Karr; siblings, Hobert Mote, Pete Mote, Winnie Burton, Rose Cooper and his son, Monty Bill Mote.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years Marie (Karr) Mote; his daughter, Leanne Carter (Wayne) of Wheatland, NM; and his grandkids- Dalton Thomas (Ashley), and their daughters, Addison & Kimber; Brenna Kight (JT) and their daughter, Frasier.
