Bob "Bobby" Spears

Mr. Bob Van Spears of Texico, New Mexico went on his final adventure on July 12, 2020. Mr. Spears is now at peace residing in his heavenly home.

Bob Van Spears was born on June 26, 1937 in Clovis, New Mexico to loving parents, LeRoy Jackson Spears, and Marie Mary (Evans) Spears.

Mr. Spears earned his High School diploma before bravely serving his country in the United States Army. Bob was married to Teddy Spears, and they created a beautiful life together in Texico, New Mexico. Bob owned his own business “Spears Harvesting” and traveled all across Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana working as a custom harvester.

Bobs family says that Bob collected John Deer memorabilia, ink pens; belt buckles, and owns over 800 baseball caps from all over the country.

Bob is preceded in death by parents; LeRoy and Marie, brothers; Joe, Bud, and LeRoy Spears.

Bob is survived by half sister; Betty Jane (J.R.) Broadhurst, nephews; Mac, Sam, Kevin, J.R. and Luke  Neices; DeeLee, Shelly, Bridgette, and Mcayala. Bob is also survived by several friends, and extended family.

A visitation for Bob Spears is Thursday July 16, 2020 from 11:00am to 3:00pm at Steed Todd funeral home. Funeral services for Bob are Friday July 17,2020 at 9:00am in the Steed Todd Funeral home chapel.

Due to Covid-19 all who come to the visitation and funeral service must wear a mask and sit every other row with those they live with. Thank you for your understanding, and keeping our families safe.
