Clem Vigil, 76 of Clovis, passed away on April 4, 2023, in Clovis, NM.

A public Visitation will be April 12, 2023, from 4:00 – 8:00pm at Steed Todd Home Chapel.

Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at 9:30 am at St. Anne’s Church in Tucumcari, NM.  Arrangements are by Steed Todd Funeral Home.

Clem was born in Tucumcari, NM to Ignacio and Rebecca Vigil on April 20. 1946. He went to school in Tucumcari.  He married Clara Vigil on September 14, 1968 in Logan, NM. He worked for Tucumcari PD; was in the New Mexico National Guard for many years and worked for and retired from the Railroad in Clovis, NM.

Clem is preceded in death by his parents, one brother Leandro (Lin) Chavez; two sisters, Estella Spivey and Lucy Velasquez.

Clem is survived by his wife Clara Vigil, one son Clem Vigil, Jr. (Ann) of Newbern, TN, one daughter Candie Dodge of Lubbock, TX and one granddaughter Brittany Dodge of Lubbock, TX.  Two brothers: Modesto (Margie) Martinez of Galena, IL, Joe (Adelina) Vigil of Tucumcari, NM, three sisters, Shirley Crafton of Clovis, NM, Carmen (Juan) Nakamura of Berwyn, IL; Dolores (Ben) Moralez of Clovis, NM, Sister-in-laws, Helen Gallegos of Clovis, NM and Priscilla Moralez of Clovis, NM and numerous nieces and nephews.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Michael Garcia, Martin Gallegos, Alfonso Gallegos and Michael Moralez.
