George Eaton

George Edward Eaton (George Ed), 87, of Clovis New Mexico, passed away on 03/23/2023 in Clovis New Mexico.

In honor of his wishes no services will be held.

George was born in Clarksville Arkansas to Edward Monroe Eaton and Era Pearl Eaton on November 22, 1935. He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years Jewell Edna Blount Keslar Eaton. He worked as a technician at John Deere (Denton's Implement) in Clovis New Mexico for over 20 years which he retired from.

He was known for his quick wit and sense of humor and his ability to turn any container into a tomato garden. He loved and lived for his family. He loved to cook and work with his hands and fix almost anything. He was a humble man, with a heart for the Lord. He enjoyed the blessing of each sunrise and sounds of birds. He loved dogs and was an avid rescuer, giving multiple dogs a forever home. He always had a kind word to share, over his fence, or in a store, a quick wave or nod when busy in his yard.

George was also preceded in death by 3 sisters. Vivian Cantrell of Clovis New Mexico, Doris Viola Dotson of Oklahoma, and Betty Katherine Alexander of Clovis New Mexico, and a brother Donald Monroe Eaton of Clarksville Arkansas, stepson Daniel Keslar of Clovis New Mexico, a son in law Jay Neff of Clovis New Mexico.

He is survived by a sister Daina Eaton Faust and husband Donald of Jacksonville Florida, stepdaughter Debra Phillips and husband James of Lynchburg Virginia, son Joseph Eaton and wife Margaret of Pampa Texas, son Raymond Eaton of Clovis New Mexico, stepdaughter Deana Neff of Clovis New Mexico, stepson David Keslar, son Samuel Eaton of Clovis New Mexico. And numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
