Duane McDaniel, age 84, of Farwell Texas passed away on March 23rd, 2023 in Farwell.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 29th and Thursday, March 30th at Steed-Todd Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 31st at 2:00pm at Sunset Terrace Cemetery in Farwell, Texas, with Pastor Jon Forrest officiating.
Duane McDaniel was born in Cainsville, Missouri to Joseph McDaniel and Elsie (nee) Smith on June 20th, 1938.
Duane went to School at Gage, Oklahoma and on December 22nd, 1967 he married Lila Faye Moore.
Duane worked as a flight instructor and as a crop duster. For many years he was a mechanic in the United States Air Force working on Titan I and II missiles and as a jet engine mechanic.
Duane loved airplanes and anything to do with aviation. He owned and operated Farwell Spraying Service for 20 years.
Duane McDaniel is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and his beloved wife Lila Faye McDaniel.
Duane is survived by sons, Irvin Neal McDaniel of Logan, New Mexico and Kenneth McDaniel of Farwell, Texas; daughter Sonja Wilburn of Farwell, Texas; His brother Doug, otherwise called 'Ugga Duggle Booza Wooskus' , however Duane was the 'Booza Wooskus' , and Dougs kids Jason Scott, and Sean.
His wonderful, beautiful sister Dorothy Webber, and her kids Charlie, Joe, Suzanne, and Edward... (otherwise known as TYKEE)
... and yes Suzanne you are his favorite niece.
granddaughters Roxanne Marie McMahon (great grandchildren Nicholas, Andrew, Matthew, Gabriel, Daniel, Abigail) and Christie Yvonne King (great grandchildren Sarah, and David) and three great-great grandchildren, Ava, Emma, and Elianna.
Just a little added to mention the dearest friends he grew up with like Lud Connor, Ernie 'Monkey' Gottshall, and close friends Bill and Pat Sterling, and Dick Smart, and many others too numerous to mention.
