Lyle Lenton Broome, 60, of Clovis, New Mexico, passed away on September 8th, 2021 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Steed Todd Funeral Home located at 800 E Manana Blvd, Clovis, NM 88101.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Faith Christian Family Church at 3401 N. Norris in Clovis with Pastor Tim Carter from Edgewood, NM officiating. Lyle requested to be cremated.

Lyle was born in Roswell, New Mexico to Richard Tally Broome and Karen Veryne (Gaydon) McNutt on November 5, 1960. He graduated from Clovis High School in 1978. Lyle worked as a Production Mail Specialist for General Mailing and Shipping Services for 21 years. Lyle served in the United States Army from 1978-1982 and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, the Rifle-Sharpshooter Badge, the Hand Grenade-Expert Badge, and the Army Service Ribbon.

Lyle is preceded in death by his father, Richard Tally Broome; maternal grandfather, Emzy Gaydon; maternal grandmother, Reba Gaydon; paternal grandfather, Tally Broome; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Broome.

Lyle is survived by his step-father and mother: Jack and Karen McNutt, his sons: Richard Broome and Sean Broome, sister: Babs Lewis, brother: Greg Broome, step-brother: Kyle McNutt, Grandchildren: Cassandra Lusk, Landon and Brooklynn Broome, Great-grandchilden: Archie & Jet Lusk, aunts: Jan Porter and Diane Day, and many more loved aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins. And dog and loved companion, Hulo.
