Maria Inman

September 22, 1950 — February 28, 2022

Maria Esmeralda Inman, age 71, of Clovis, passed from this life into the next fon February 28, 2022 in Lubbock Texas after a short illness.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 26th at 11:00 am at Westbrook Baptist Church, 1420 Thornton Street in Clovis, New Mexico. Pastor Furgus Tunnell will be officiating, burial has taken place at Mission Garden of Memories.

Maria, was born in Clovis, New Mexico to Luis and Josephine Marez on September 22nd, 1950, she attended area schools graduating from Clovis High School in 1968 growing up in Clovis. She held many jobs in and around the area including the Thrifty Nicker, Youth Opportunities Unlimited (Big Brothers, Big Sisters), K-Mart (Lubbock), The Auto Emporium, and the latest, Community Home Care. She had an interest in photography and arts and crafts attending art classes at Clovis Community College. She believed a lot in Clovis, especially the children of the community, giving to local charities to help better the lives of the kids in the area. Maria lived in several different places in her lifetime including California, Texas, Colorado, and New Mexico. Even going to Australia at one time.

Maria was a very spiritual person and enjoyed reading her bible and watching Christian teaching on the TV, receiving Jesus as her Lord and savior and embracing Messian Judaism following Jewish traditions.

Maria was preceded in death by her parents, Luis and Josephine Marez; her grandparents, Moise and Apolonia Apodaca and Luis B. and Aurelia Marez; her sister, Cecilia and her brother-in-law, Paul and their son, Jeffery Lovato of Portales, New Mexico; one brother, Henry Marez of Clovis New Mexico; and her youngest sister, Linda Miller of South Carolina; her brother in law, Larry Shell and his daughter Sara Shell of Fontana, California; her daughter, Candi McNeal of St. Louis Missouri.

Maria is survived by one sister, Maryann Shell and her two sons, Danial and Nathan of Fontana, California; one brother, Ronnie Marez of Clovis, New Mexico; one grandson, Jessie James Parkin of St. Louis, Missouri; three nephews Tommy Joe Lovato of Texas, William Paul Lovato of Clovis, New Mexico, and Timothy Miller of South Carolina; Nieces Alesha Morales of South Carolina, Natash, Nicole, and Rebecca Lovato of Texas, and Keith Lovato of Kansas; six step children, Norma Jenson, Terri Chambers, Julie Foster, Michael Jenson, Jana Intoschi all of California and Jimmy Jenson of Cheyenne, Wyoming.

In liew of flowers, memorial donations in Maria's name can be made out to Hope Children's Home, 11415 Hope International Drive, Tampa, Florida 33625-3963, Hopechildrenshome.org (813)961-1214 Ear marked Clovis, New Mexico.
