Mary Margaret Dillard, 93, left this earth on October 6, 2020 to be reunited with her husband, J.C. Dillard, her son, Tony Colla, 3 sisters, Sue, Jean and Hilda, Daddy Boyd and her mother, Granny Luke.
Mary, known by her family as Marge, was born December 24, 1926 in Hubbard, Texas, the daughter of E. D. Medlin and Eula Granger and the oldest of 5 daughters.
Marge enjoyed coloring, puzzle books and watching people. She always had her lipstick on and a smile that lit up any room! She loved her family and the Lord and read her bible daily. Marge never met a stranger. Once she shook your hand, you were family. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind her granddaughter J'mi Call and husband, Daniel of San Antonio, Texas, her grandson, Justin Colla and wife, Shelly of Melbourne Beach, Florida, 5 great-grandchildren and one great, great-granddaughter. Plus lots of family, friends and lives blessed by knowing her.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at the Retirement Ranch for the excellent care and love that they extended to grandma over the past 4 years. She kept them on their toes and in stitches daily.
A memorial service will take place at a later date. In leu of flowers, contributions can be made to the New Mexico Baptist Children's home in her memory.
