Ronald (Ronny) Ray Houston passed away at his home in Clovis NM on August 9, 2021.

He was born on November 30, 1952 to Clyde Edward Houston and Lillie Imogene (Nation) Houston in Clovis, New Mexico. He was a Master Electrician and also served in the National Guard. He retired from Cannon Air Base, as a civilian, where he worked for many years as an electrician and the last 24 years as a fire alarm specialist. He enjoyed his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren immensely. After he retired you would see him picking the grandchildren and the great-grandchildren from school or daycare, treating them to "Old McDonald's" on the way home. He spent time with the older grandchildren teaching and playing guitars with them. He loved music and even was in a band when he was 16 years old with David Humiston, Christianson Blanton, Gary Gisler and Jimmy Hinley called The Crystal Age. He was a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan, and would say "I'll bet you $5 a game and I'd still come out ahead." He enjoyed playing pool and when he was young he'd go to the poolhall with his dad and brother. He loved bird hunting with his trusty GSP's. He also spent hours, sometimes days, fishing at the lake.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Rocky Dale Houston. He is survived by his wife, LaCarma Houston. Four children Chase Houston Sr (Kimiko), LeighAnn Russell (Bobby), Chris Jouett (Nicole), and Lacy Kilmer (Darrell). Nine grandchildren Chase Jr., Lauren, Michael, Nathaniel, Chloe, Jori, Josh, Jonathon, and Lylith. Two great-grandsons Ryker and Sylus.
A memorial service will be held in Ronnys honor on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at the Prince Street Baptist Church in Clovis, New Mexico at 10:00am with Pastor Tommy officiating.
