A public visitation will be on Monday, January 16, 2023 at Steed Todd Funeral Home from 5:00PM - 7:00PM . Funeral Services will be held at First Church of God in Christ on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at 11:00AM followed by a burial at Oklahoma Lane Cemetery in Farwell ,TX.

Jackie Dale Morris, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away on January 10, 2023 in Lubbock, Texas.

Jackie Dale was born in Farwell, Texas to Timothy (Tee) Morris and Inez (Crawford) Morris on December 2, 1940. Jackie attended Lincoln Jackson Elementary School in Clovis, New Mexico. He finished his high school education in the Farwell, Texas School System. Jackie enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1960 and served from 1960 to 1963. He received an Associate Degree from Amarillo Community College in 1969. Jack was employed by AT&T as a Communications Craftsman for 30 years. He married Joyce M. Evans March 30, 1970 in Clovis, New Mexico and enjoyed 52 blessed years of matrimony. Jackie enjoyed researching his family’s lineage and recorded the genealogy. He maintained a collection of miniature mechanical cars and tractors.

Jackie Dale Morris is proceeded in death by his parents, Timothy and Inez Morris; brothers, James E. Morris, Charlie Morris ; sisters, Inetta (Morris) Daniels and Clara F. Morris; brother-in-law Calvin Daniels.

Survived by Joyce M. Morris (spouse), Kathleen (Aurelius) Houston, Ada (Morris) Guidry, Velma M. Morris, Jewlon Morris, Josephine (Morris) Crawford and a host of nephews and nieces.
